Studio

The Dining Room, is a super central, artist-run analogue tape and digital recording studio for the music and indie film community. With a focus on vintage gear, there is a full selection of mics, preamps, instruments, amps, and outboard processing at your disposal. It was founded in 2015 by Matt Murphy, Michael LeBlanc, Ian McGettigan and Tony Romano as an affordable creative space to serve the scene.

Our head engineer, Ian McGettigan is a Toronto based, location sound recordist, engineer and producer who has worked with artists such as Joel Plaskett, Alvvays, Sloan, TUNS, and Feist. His latest location recording project, Ethan Hawke's feature film "Blaze", with all music recorded on location, was mixed at the Dining Room, and is in North American theatrical release.
